    [Error Code] 1250P fuser problem

The fuser got a code and I think the mechanism that lifts the lower roller against the upper roller is stuck.

The bearing for the upper roller is not even sitting on the bottom of the case. Is there a way to rotate the shaft on the first photo? It appears locked. I think what happened was a fuser code popped up and the operator just turned off the machine.

is the pressure cam up or down?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

It is in the up position. Or close to the uppermost position if that makes sense. i'm guessing you mean the main shaft underneath the springs and across the entire piece?

It was a C3906 code. I switched out the fuser unit for a backup one. Turns out it just needed a dipswitch reset. It happens sometimes with the machine. Meanwhile i'm left with the original fuser unit that's locked in the up position. I unscrewed the top so i'd have to really place pressure on the rollers to close it again. The machine is running perfectly now with the other unit so i'm just left with my own error of taking the first unit out when all il needed to do is change the dipswitch. Still new to this haha

You should be able to close the top still. That's why the screws for it are long. Just make sure you tighten them down evenly across and not all at once per screw.

You can release the pressure on the fuser by turning the cams. I have had to replace those photointerrupters in the fuser that monitor the lift because they become unreliable.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Is there a trick to turn the cam? I tried and it seemed pretty stuck.

It's been a while, but one of those shafts has a hole bored through it. You can insert your screwdriver and rotate the shaft 90 degrees.

I think that only applies to the 951 that doesn't have an automatic tension system. Just close the lid manually and put it back in the machine. It should see what position it's in and automatically release.

                        Thanks for the correction.
