    BizHub Config page? "Generic 25C-0i"

    Just got in an off lease C250i and config page has "Generic 25C-0i" at top. Config page shows "printer storage Installed". Updated firmware and no change. There were screws missing from back cover so not sure if something was removed?

      Is Software Switch 10 set to hex 02? Generic is usually when it's set to 00, and Konica should be 02.
      A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
      My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

              i second that as well as checking the machine/type to make sure there arent FF codes in there which happen after a brainwash.
              We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
              The medication helps though...

                      Not sure if this is what you are talking about but in the webdev you can change the device name and then that shows up on the top of pages like counters and other reports

                          Being KM C250i machine switch 10 should be never touched/changed under normal circumstances. If you suspect anything just remove back cover and inspect if storage board(NVME branded Phison, Toshiba or Kioxia) is there(not CF card!).

                              This issue goes back 20 years and from my experience the solution is always the same: Switch 10, Hex 02, Fix

                              Used to see this a lot on the old biz500, C300s, all those old models. Haven't seen it in a while myself.

                              During boot up Instead of the hourglass screen you'll get "planets" - in fact if you search planets on the knowledgebase you'll get an article about it.

                                      Thanks for the replies.Put C250i with normal kon/min config page next to one with generic config page to compare, machine type are same. Tried switch 10, 02 and message came up for NFC or something. Had both rear covers off and both the same. Nothing missing.
                                      It's not a big deal because machine seems to be working fine and has low meter of 25k. Just thought it would be something simple.
