    Konica 2060L Print Issue

    Hi guys

I have recently aquired a Konica 2060L I am slowly finding my way around. I have an issue with prints, can anyone tell from the attached what this could be please? I have a line going across the page (in direction of the pen), and what looks like speckles on the magenta colour. Thar bar you can see on magenta is where the transfer belt has creased a little (it was sat around for a long time), thinking maybe this could iron itself out in time? If not will get the belt replaced

    Thanks

It won't iron itself out. I would start by throwing a fresh set of coronas in it and clean the "dust proof glass" for each color.

Thanks for the reply, will get the transfer belt replaced to sort that banding issue on magenta. The coronas have been replaced. As it seems to go across all the colours (the line in the direction of the pen) I presume this wouldn't be coronas and will be something else?

If the same line occurs across all colors then it will be related to either 1. First transfer (belt, cleaning blade),2. 2nd Transfer (Roller), or 3. Fuser.

Did you clean the laser slit glasses? That will create light voids like you're seeing. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Are these the 4 pieces of glass to the right of the drums?

                  Run test target 43
If that band is only in magenta then its not on the transfer belt , it would be a problem with your magenta drum or a slim chance the developer unit . swap the magenta and cyan drum to see if the band then moves to cyan. If it stays in the magenta you could test the developer unit by swapping the cyan and magenta developer units and run test target 53 with all colors at density 0 except the one you are testing, Run it at density 128. Just be sure to put scotch tape over the toner supply hole of each unit and open the toner supply door so the machine will not attempt to add toner. Plus only run one or two test prints with the developer units in the wrong spot.
