    Bizhub 551i

Brand new latest firmware, sees Ledger on the glass when you close the document feeder, replaced the one aps sensor and the behavior remains, if i block that sensor it detects letter size properly in both directions on the glass and when theres nothing on the glass. The sensor behavior is the same as a C650i I visited for another issue recently. (very similar model same sensor). Have yet to check for special firmware for the model and thought to reach out here first. Thoughts? (Yes i did the non image erase check with the doc feeder completely open and the lights out with an OK result)
Let me know thanks so much.
    A.

ADF height adjusted too low and the sensor is seeing the white plate as a piece of paper?

The adf appears the be correct height and the plate under it always touches the glass on any of the konica's I've seen.
      Thank you for that though!

I only suggested as I've seen that on a few older models, and once on a XX0i model where lifting the ADF a bit alleviated the size detection issue.

I've had a couple of different machines doing this on one I adjusted the front right corner to the lowest possible position . On another I ended up doing a non-image area erase to fix this problem . Another thing is to make sure both sides of the glass are clean, I have had them look clean but the sensors would say original on glass. I clean both sides of the glass with alcohol
