Develop ineo+ 251i shadowing only on ADF

    Hi chaps.

Just setting up a new machine and having an issue with the ADF putting a light shadowing in the background of a copy. Using the platen is fine and prints are fine. Tried all calibrations with the ADF in service mode but no changes. Made sure no light shining under the lid but a bit lost now. Any ideas cheers?

id try to apply slight upward pressure to the front left corner of the scanner and send through the feeder. if its gone your scanner bed is bent down.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

Thanks for the tip mate. Just tried this, up first and then down after and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I feel like its a CCD issue but just odd how its only with the ADF

I've had this on a few new devices, but it was on platen and RADF, I set the background removal on scan & copy to "Auto" it seems to do the trick

3 points of contact on DF with platen nicely levelled? Usually front one needs to be lowered but you may have odd one.

manually move the optics to the df scan position , watch the 2/3 mirror frame. i'v seen where the cable tension is too high causing 2nd frame to tilt ever so slightly.

This is what I ended up doing. I managed to get it down to just a little shadow in one corner and then used the auto setting and it gets rid of it. cheers for your help mate
