    DF-704 part

I called KM and they have be wing pay number. No baby find this in the service manual. It's a white roller with what looks like a mirror on the back. It's on the bottom of the ADF. When I open the ADF it's there on the underside.

We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

See page 15, item 9 is white sheet for second side CIS brush roller.

Most of the time it can be cleaned. Are you sure it's damage? And yes, take care that it's timed correctly.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I must've been very lucky, took one off of a C458 to replace one worn out on a C450i, just fitted it - forgot all about the timing, it appears to work fine

i used to use white-out dots on gears and belts for timing like i did on cars long before copiers.

Yes, unfortunately it is damaged, as represented by the red circle. So is the CIS and mylar.

I don't know if it makes a difference. I am using a laptop and can zoom in on the picture I posted.

Good for you. How the heck did you get the old one off and the new one on? It's a whole sticker!

I moved the part it's on too - not just the sticker. The parts for that assembly, are the same for the C458 & C450i, luckily I had a scrap DF

That would have been much easier. After I finished it just grinds and gives errors C-6753 and 6755. Spent the whole day on it and did not resolve it

This isn't going to help very much, but I offer it anyway. I took these photo before removing that roller from a DF-701. I certainly can't be certain, but I expect that that timing remains the same. These photos are very close, and blurry, because it's just really hard to see what you need to see. The simplest thing would be to look at another working DF, to gauge the timing.

If I was in your situation I would jump the belt one tooth, then try it. If it errors, jump the belt one more tooth, and try it ... etc, etc. It might only take 30 or 40 attempts. =^..^=
