    Bizhub 4052 error C6106

    Hi,

my customer has Bizhub 4052 which they say spits out error code C6106 and disables ADF. After few resets it works for maybe a month or two, then error pops up again.
    Error description says:
ADF back side CIS home sensor failure. The ADF back side CIS unit cannot return to the home position.

Maybe somebody here had simmilar issue? Customer is important to me, so I have to resolve quickly either by fixing it, or buying new MFP for them.
    Appreciate any hints. Thank you!

    C6106 error code.

C6106 occurs during scanning from ADF.

"CAUSE: 1. Loose or dirty connection between the ADF and MFPB
    2. Faulty ADF Unit.

"SOLUTION: 1. Clean and reseat connector JBSCIS1 which goes between the ADF and MFPB. Refer to image below.

    2. Replace the ADF Unit (p/n AA1PPP0H00).

      Hi, thank you very much!
I just can't see attached image, probably needs login to KM portal, which I do not have. May I ask for maybe screenshot to see, where this connector is? Appreciate very much!

If you end up having to replace machine you might be able to find off lease cheap. I've been buying the Biz 4052 & 4702 off lease with meters under 20k for $25 USD.

            Wow that's pretty cheap.
Don't have to troubleshoot at all when whole machine costs a trip to the customer.

Yes, I don't spend a lot of time troubleshooting the small machines. Always have a few to just swap out whole machine.

That's really cheap. I need to get hands on some like those, too.

The off lease warehouse I buy from here in NJ may get 50+ Biz 4702, 4752, etc in at one time from somewhere like a hospital, big law firms, etc. many with low total meters like 5k - 20k. They sell mostly bigger models and there is no market for small machines overseas so most of these small B&W models end up in the scrap yard! They would rather get $25 than nothing! It makes me sick when I go there and see maybe 100 small "working good" models all line up waiting to go to scrap yard. Like steers lined up for slaughter

Oh, I wish I could find some here in Europe, too.

                        Hi again!

We've teared machine apart, checked connectors, but nothing obvious is to see. Machine works just fine, until I open flatbed lid to full, maybe a bit rough to hit hinges final position...and voila! error is instantly back: Internal error has occured.
Then it resets itself and works, until opening lid to full again.

I did not pull apart ADF and those two cables, one black round bunch of cables and one flat cable. Trying to push/pull/wiggle both those cables by hand did NOT trigger error. Only opening lid to full triggers it. See the video here below.

                        Any ideas?
