There are now 2 types for the 8 series, one that supports SSL,TLS1.0,TLS1.1 and the other doesn't

Wait....how does this work? Are you just a dealer with access to KM firmware & bulletins that gives out firmware as a side hustle after getting paid personally via paypal?

If so that is pretty shady. I'm not sure what country you're in (edit: I see now on the website, UK) but in the US that certainly sounds illegal and likely would result in your access being revoked.
For sure if anyone from KM direct did this they would get their ass canned.

KM, i used to be bothered by free advertising here going back to Paul's days (JustManuals) then he passed away and even CT for a short while, then i realized in the great scheme of things why am i hell bent on protecting the intellectual rights to software of a billion dollar conglomerate that couldnt care if i lived or died while "protecting" firmware files and such.
its funny, i used to try to get folks to donate to the site and id help them out. tried to do it before CT posts his shameless plug was kinda like a race for my demented fun.
in the meantime Jotunn after helping hundreds of real users and con artists finally decided to get paid for his efforts. i applaud that after he spent hundreds of hours getting codes for folks for free and no real recognition for his efforts.

look at it this way, we have such limited time on this rock, theres no time for jealousy or defending giant companies because we were brainwashed to protect it like Fort Knox.
just my .02 on the matter.

[edit] btw, my moral compass still rejects fraudulent counter resets and the scum that perform it. [/edit]
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                    The medication helps though...

Oh I am on your side, I think manuals and firmware should be available directly from the manufacturer right off their website. No one should have to pay anyone for this stuff especially if it's someone doing it for their own profit. I oftentimes post bulletins right on these forums because I believe none of this stuff should be paywalled.

I just can't understand selling "copyrighted" material. From what I understand copier tech doesn't charge that much and is a good service if you need right away. Just not my thing.
Why not just have an FTP site with manuals & firmware on this forum and password it for certain members? Shit, I'll upload a ton of stuff. I remember they had this at Techs connected or Copier tech and worked good. It was a nice library of all different OEM service & part manuals. ALL free of course

I don't have a problem helping out a fellow tech with manuals or F/W, Good deeds have a stange way of coming back to you.........
