    BH-C-280 slanted print outs

This machine has only 100k on the clock. According to the customer, it suddenly started with slightly slanted prints outs for a few millimeters (not copies from the platen of course, since they are with these machines ALWAYS slightly slanted), but direct prints.

I never had to deal with this before and since the machine has not much on the counter I cannot believe that it could be a matter of worn out bushings or so. Any ideas please before I go there far away in the Black Forest and test each single of the four cassettes, being for me a potential primary suspect and/or test with internal print-outs.

Is there an adjustment at all for these phenomena? The laser unit perhaps?

It's been a while, but I remember the vertical transport guides on those would always pop out of the hole they fit in on one side, and then the guide would sit crooked in the paper path, causing skewing and jamming.
They even came out with an insert you put on the guide to fix the problem.

Most likely the paper is poorly loaded in the tray.

Yes I would check those spring loaded guides for being out of place or the plastic pins on the guide are broken. If not and since it's happening when printing then I would check for paper skew out of tray. Guides not tight up against paper, etc.

If the side guides are loose in the tray, or there is a corner flipped towards the bottom of the paper stack, you'll get a paper skew. I think a paper skew is much more likely than a laser skew.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
