Konica Minolta Fiery IC-420 CPU on C450i

    Hi Guys,

Have customer with 2x C450i with 2nd device Fiery removed as giving problems.

Customers many users, uses Adobe Illustrator and saves files as PDF, and prints direct from Mac's.

Device with Fiery most time bloks print queue and no other jobs come through, happening randomly from several users looks like if file gets corrupted.

On coomand workstation file Quequ, when I look file error is PS UNDEFINIED ERROR, OFFENDING COMMAND.

Once queue blocked no other users can print, all jobs stuck in queue.

The device C459i with Fiery removed, first page prints with error and jobs goes through.
Error on page is "Undefined Offending Command: NEW
    STACK AAAAA+B Times /Fontaname.

    Both screenshot attached.

Latest print drivers have been installed from Fiery EFI, but same isdues.

At end I have flatted Fiery and installed system.software on Fiery IC-420 and set up again.

Customer reported after a day same issues.
Has anHambody had a simular issues please. Feedback much appreciated.

    Thanks

Long term solution is the customer flattens PDF's is it not?

"Yes, you should flatten a PDF for printing. Flattening a PDF ensures that all visual elements, such as colors and design layouts, are accurately reproduced when printed, making it ideal for print-ready materials like brochures and posters. Additionally, flattening helps prevent further edits and modifications, which is particularly important for sensitive documents. Overall, it enhances document security and ensures a smooth printing process"

may i suggest importing the raw job to the fiery,(avoid using a driver completely) to the hold queue, then select it and select process and hold then view it in the preview mode and see if it will print without error if it looks ok on the screen.
also, you can download and install fonts to the fiery.

              The medication helps though...
