    558e scan setting

This is probably more of a salesman question but figured I would ask here since I don't know any salesman to ask

I have a customer with a C224e and they just got a 558e. When they scan 2 originals on the 558e, one a letter size & the other statement (5.5x8.5) size, the letter is fine but the statement size is rotated on computer screen. C224e scans both originals fine. The original are fed in with short edge first with side guides snug against originals. Funny thing is I exported & imported the C224e settings to the 558e and still does it.
I spent over 2 hours comparing settings which were the same and couldn't get it to work. This is a trucking company and scanning these 2 pages is mostly what they scan, a letter size invoice & truckers ticket need to be scanned together. Weird the C224e works fine. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks in advance

Wanted to add before I left customer I printed both machines management lists and brought with me to compare, soft switches, etc. Will look at it later tonight.

The only time I've seen images rotate, is when the device has an LK105, or 110 with the OCR turned on, and the image set to Auto Rotate"

Probably the easiest way, is go to scan. then select "scan type" then on the right you'll have PDF settings, if you have "OCR" installed, you can then turn off/untick "Auto rotate" and set it as default in the scan settings, you can check if a license is installed by going into admin settings, maintenance, license settings, then list of enabled functions. To remove the license, the only way I know, you need to log into the KM Infohub portal, and remove the license from the device there. it'll generate a code, which you need to input into the device, this will then get the device to generate a code, which you enter back into the portal, this now allows you to reuse the licence on another device.

Thanks King & Syn. Will try your suggestions.

I was thinking this machine has Bizhub Secure label. Could some of the tabs be missing because of this secure feature. I did not see auto rotate tab to turn off?

It could mean that you don't have the OCR/LK installed - in which case, I could be leading you down the wrong path. Have a look to see if a licence is installed. If it isn't, then it's something else

Going to say the stupid option first. Play around with mixed originals/original settings and use the preview button. You can rotate pages in the preview screen if I remember right.
