I'm new to the forum and it seems my other post hasn't been approved or just didn't go through so here I will explain again. Got myself a used C224, it has old firmware, isn't "regsistered" and I can't view any information about it from my pc via the online ip address way. It prints fine from mobile and pc but the mobile app somehow can't pair with the printer. I read something about Tokens before and was wondering where to acquire it and how to hook it up so it will be a "registered" printer and ofcourse where to even find the newest avaliable software for the C224 since the auto update option doesn't exist nor does the "browser". The Kind Lady from who I bought it from said she didn't get any tokens or any li else activating kits so she couldn't help me on that. I plan to set up a print server (from an older pc with W10(64 Bit)) and I would ofcourse like to get the registration and the ip address sorted prior to that if possible.

Re: Bizhub C224 Online registration and Firmare Update issues
Answering few questions, I tried using Opera Web browser but it doesn't work on mobile either, I will download Chrome and see if it could work on it, I only paid €350 for it and a new set of toners and a waste box, only 52k prints in total, all drums need to be replaced by 2024 or 20255 so that might be costly. What I found funny regarding the mobile app is the fact it only sees it with auto configuration, manual inputting the IP Address gives the "printer not exists". I would prefer to configure it for HTTPS printing if that would be possible at allComment

Re: Bizhub C224 Online registration and Firmare Update issues
I hope you didn't spend to much money on this machine it has been obsolete since Dec.2020. Not sure why you cant reach the machine via the IP address you don't need any kind of token to reach it this way. If you have ever had a printer using the same IP address that this one is now using you could try clearing the cache on the web browser or try using a different web browser. As far as the mobile app make sure you have the latest Konica Minolta mobile app. The latest mobile app is called Konica Minolta mobile print. you don't need any token for any of this to work. You could try updating the firmware to the latest version but if you firmware is real old you need to step firmware up. I would only skip a couple and work my way up to the latest.Comment

Re: Bizhub C224 Online registration and Firmare Update issues
If functions like pagescope are not working, a common fix for the 224e / 284e / 364e is to install new firmware and moviedata.
Not too sure what you mean by "not registered" but if the machine does not have the serial number put in most stuff will not work (machine will tell you though)Comment

Re: Bizhub C224 Online registration and Firmare Update issues
It does have a serial number actually. What I mean by "not registered" is when you connect in mobile it should say "registered" in the lower left corner when you are on the "auto config" section in there. Does the app not prefer unregistered printers and hence why I can't connect it?Comment

Go to Admin Mode on the MFP, make sure that und Network IP, Subnet and DNS is set. I also recall something that you needed to do in security settings but that is nearly out of my head...
maybe try to access it with both XXX Directory: Sex, Porn & XXX Cam Sites Listing and https://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX and chec if there are any out of date certificates installedComment

Re: Bizhub C224 Online registration and Firmare Update issues
you would probably be just fine if you could find a Win 2000 or XP box to connect to it..Security features on today's browsers are gonna block these unsecure sites..I would
1. Go into service and do a network data clear, and a HDD logical format..This will set everything back to factory including deleting any installed SSL certs (the one you have had probably long past expired)
2. Back in Admin and if you are a DHCP environment, pull all fresh info, then set the IP to what you need.
3. With SSL removed and antiquated/expired certs gone try logging in with several browsers..Firefox with SSL/TLS requirements set to lowest level, or IE in compatibility mode. Hope this helps. EComment
