Gentlemen

I went back to the machine. It stayed on all night. I restarted machine and it worked. It was printing and scanning. As I was getting ready to leave. The customer was getting ready to copy and it said "internal error and it will be cleared." It never cleared itself so I rebooted the machine and it was stuck on 2 shark fins and the machine was running. I waited 15 minutes still stuck. I rebooted the machine and the ce301 code came back. My question do you'll think I need to replace the mfpb, the ssd board or something else? It's strange that it worked flawlessly for about 45 minutes.

I've not seen your previous post but this error can be a failing HDD or CR2032 battery on the MFPB.

I'll check the battery voltage when I go back and maybe try a hard drive. Thanks. The service manual doesn't go into great deal about this code. I did the battery fix firmware update a month before. Hopefully it's the hard drive.

May be SSDB as well. Easy fix if you have new one.

I only get access to the Konica site every so often. Not a dealer. I found a document from all solutions downloaded from August. It indicates it is a firmware bug. Next time I'm on the site I need to get GC3A9. Hopefully that will fix it.

C-E301... I think that can also be triggered by bad printjobs or garbage data from network. It wouldn't hurt to test it without a network connection for some time (do test copies and print from USB / scan to USB in between).

I think improvements against "C-E301" are mentioned all the time in the FW change logs - don't expect too much on that end unless the installed FW is really, really old.

I leaning more toward hardware. The problem didn't occur before I worked on it. I corrupted something. I'll troubleshoot in this order
Memory
HDD
MFPB
SSD/EMMC

I agree! A bad driver can cause the mess in certain circumstances.

Only in one case for me it was HDD. (E301 when releasing secure print job)
