Konica Minolta C7000 dark lines on all colors. Replaced transfer belt

    Hello!

I just recently replaces the transfer belt. Just the belt, not the rollers inside the transfer belt unit.
First prints came out alright, but now I'm getting dark lines that won't go away. (see picture)
What could be the cause of this? Could this be, because I didn't change the 'transfer belt cleaner blade'? Could this blade have damaged the new belt, because it's a old one?
Or can the rollers inside the transfer belt unit cause this problem? It's weird because the first prints after replacing the belt didn't had these extreme dark lines, so it got suddenly worse.

Just in case I've ordered a new transfer belt and transfer belt cleaner unit, but the fastest delivery time is in September, so I'm hoping to solve it or reduce these lines so I can print most of the work to keep on going till then.

    Thanks again!
Sorry, I'm posting so much with al my questions and problems. I'm trying to learn and do much as possible myself

    Best regards,
    Ilse

The black color has no dark lines...

Print test pattern 53 at density 80 in each separate color.

i dont understand changing the belt and not the rollers or the cleaning blade.
unless it was replacing a new torn belt, not replacing the other parts is a half-ass job man, you cant properly diagnose quality issues when you mix new and old parts.
you should really know better especially if working on a production machine.
that being said can you stop the print at certain points and see when the lines are created?
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
      The medication helps though...

Hello tulintron, thank you for your response!

I found the manual for the C7000 on this forum, but I'm not sure how to do the test pattern, this is going to be the first time. If I go to the Test pattern screen on the machine it says:

        Test Pattern: +1
        Gradiation-Y: +120
        Gradiation-M: +120
        Gradiation-C: +120
        Gradiation-K: +255

        I use Dot1.

Do I set 53 into the Test Pattern and then set? I'm not a printer service mechanic, I don't want to mess things up.

        Thank you

Hello Synthohol, thank you for your response!

Sadly I'm not a Certified Konica Expert as you are so I don't know everything when it comes to replacing parts. As I said I'm trying to do a lot myself. I don't have a lot to spend at the moment and most things work out fine when replacing parts. It's almost impossible to buy anything for the machine in my own country, so we ship the parts from China.
I didn't know about the rolls that they had to be replaced as well and didn't thought it would be that necessary.
Can you tell me which rolls need to replaced as well? Are these the 4 'softer' (A03U501200) rolls and the lower transfer roller (A03UR73300)?

I downloaded a manual for this machine, but English isn't my main language so sometimes have some trouble with translating it the right way. Sadly I can't find much or no information at all about it in my own language.

The lines are present from the first print I make, same as yesterday. It's weird that they are visible on cyan and magenta, also on yellow but way less visible (difficult to see on the photo) and not on black.

Sorry again for all the questions and thank you!

          Regards,
          Ilse

i get so anxious when non production techs work on a machine that cost as much as 3 cars and im sorry if i came off as a diva, its a trigger of mine because ive seen even trained techs make the simplest of errors and cost thousands of dollars in boards or parts.
do you see the lines on the belt prior to transfer? stopping the print at different points in the process, looking at the drums and investigating can narrow down the naughty bits and get you straightened out.

when you see the same lines through all the colors it narrows it down to transfer or fusing but because you dont see it in black leads me back to the transfer roller(s)

Set the test pattern to 43 . When you get to copy screen just make sure it is set to color. This will print out a solid of each color as well as half tone of each color and then it will give you some samples of mixed colors, the green helps you identify any problems you may be having in yellow

Haha no problem, I understand. We've had some techs who didn't know much about the machine or messed something else up while fixing the other problem.
I was wondering if I could stop the machine at any point, but I have no idea how to that without messing anything up?

You mean by this 'do you see the lines on the belt prior to transfer?' if the lines are visible and identical on the belt as on the prints?

                  Thank you again!

                    Hi Markks,

I did both test pattern 53 and 43. I've added 3 photos of the test 43. Hopefully you can see what's going on. Yellow is dirty somehow.

The belt is really dirty, a new transfer blade cleaner unit is on it's way. For now I mostly need cyan and yellow to look as best as possible.

The 2nd image looks like its the cyan drum unit that is causing the lines, replace the cyan drum.

The drums are brand new. Just in case I switched the cyan drum with another drum to make sure and those lines come out the same when printing. So it's not the drums..
Could this have anything to do with the gamma sensor registration?

                        Thank you!

That is most basic part to replace on this machines.

Yes I replaced those as well. What I replaced are: the transfer belt, all drums and their cleaning blades, all developers and all charging units.
                            So that's all new.

And a new transfer cleaning unit is on it's way.

Found the problem. Immediately see the light line in the middle, somehow the developer is not sticking to the roll. So maybe it's being scraped of by something. Only I don't see it right away and I don't kno if I can open up the top , so I can see ore. Any idea how to? Thank you!
