    konica minolta c3320i stuck job

I am hoping this is the right page for the color printer c 3320i the copiier just runs and runs.. until we clear stuck jobs.. it is only one that seems to be jamming up the printer. I restart the printer.. restart the computer.. and actually unplug the data ethernet.. or it wont work.. when its stuck and deleted you cant even make a copy until you restart it and unplug the ethernet cable.. am I looking at a bad job command? or driver? once I take the 3 steps it prints just fine for now. until it doesnt any thoughts? thank you so much

    Hello,

so it seems you have to find out, which job causes the printer`s error.

Often it is a PDF causing print errors.
(Or a couple of other reasons...)

    First of all:
What error does occur (jam or C-error)?

In the job history directly at the printer you should be able to see the last jobs including the causing one.

    Best regards,
    Ro

what driver, what type of file?
if you put the file on a USB stick can it be printed direct from the panel?
if so its either the driver or the app on the computer.

i always try printing suspect files from USB to see if its the driver or the file when possible.

gotta do a bit more detective work
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
      The medication helps though...

Just something I have seen is when a IU TCR is low and you send a job, it will just warm up and keep warming up for 30 mins to a hour and maybe then it will do a internal error restarting but most of the time the customer gets upset by then and up plugs the copier. I would check TCR on all units if its happening on different jobs and pc's.

Run high agitation and shake the IU good might fix TCR issues if it is not at Zero.

it did have an image unit yellow code a couple times. I wonder if you are on to it here?

thank you it just runs and runs and wont print. is what I am noticing. it does not jam or code out.. by resetting the computer and printer
it resets and works again. so it might just be the yellow image unit as described below

            hopefully and thank you

+1 those are known for IU failed prematurely.
Turn off internal error auto canceling and see if it codes. If yellow is culprit maybe it will work for B&W and stumble on color jobs.

Re: konica minolta c3320i stuck job

                Hello,

you are right: The machine shows only "warming up" (or sth. like that) and does not print any job.

I am quite sure this is the (known) issue mentioned before that one (or more) IU run(s) into an abnormal TCR-value.

The users can also report, that the toner cartridge runs empty very quickly. -> You will find the WTB filled up with the corresponding colour.

Check in ServiceMode: STATE CONFIRMATION > Level History 1:
At least one of the values will be out of normal range (~ 6 - 9).

In most cases you will have to replace IU affected.

As advised by KM a FW-Update and shaking IU and high-speed agitation should help.
I think this is a fairytale. > Being aware of this issue I did these things mentionend before with many machines in the field to prevent this failure. Just a couple of weeks later at least one IU ran out of normal TCR-range and had to be replaced.

                Good luck!

I didnt notice that until this afternoon. yes I feel it was a yellow image unit.. replaced it
replaced the yellow toner and waste toner box. I feel like it is fixed.. I had t his happen
3 years ago on the same model but it was a magenta unit. I couldn't remember

+1 on the shaking the shit out of it.

We've started storing the image units for all of these little piece of junk machines upside-down. Developer and toner can't settle and get compacted onto the sensor area if the sensor is on the top of the unit. In addition, just before installing a new unit into the machine, we've been flipping the image units over and smacking them along the bottom, especially where the sensor is, with the handle of a screwdriver that has a rubber grip on it. Firm but gentle at the same time. You don't want to break the image unit, but it should provide enough vibration to the unit so that hopefully anything that might have already been compacted on the bottom, during it's time in Konica's warehouse, is jarred loose.

So far, since we've implemented this, we haven't had any further issues with the replacement units. Prior to this we would still have density problems with some units that were thoroughly shaken. Personally, I think it's the smacking on the bottom that is key, but I'm sure storing them upside-down also plays a part in it.

Great to hear , If this unit give you future issues with other color IU, I have had good results with turning image stabilization priority to color not standard or blk. Helps keep the IU mixed and to prevent the developer from settling per Konica. These little ones love to drink toner when the IU is going out for sure. Running High agitation also helps a lot when installing a new IU or setup of a new copier/printer and can fix one that TCR value is low and will not come up and yes shake them.

I like the idea of storing them upside down, smart

Image stabilization thing isn't bad idea.
