I Series C250i C360i Stuck At 25%

Hi ,

Recently few unit of our rental machine C250i facing freeze screen , stuck at boot screen .

We tried update to latest firmware but machine fail to update f/w .

Check the ssd looks like a normal storage card , is it possible to put in new m2 in there ?
( it work by replace other machine ssd , but i hope can work on the old drive to save it )

Any one got the file / boot rom to put in the new storage board so it can update f/w ?

I try to format the whole ssd but no luck .

Perhaps any one can give a guide / file to solve the problem .

This issue kind of faded away - I think this year we only had one faulty nVME.


Therefore I didn't really investigated any further about fixing a "NG" flagged nVME or using one from a PC part supplier. I was also able to format a so-called faulty nVME with an external adapter and after installing it back in die MFP the partitions are rebuild by the machine, still it won't work. I had a few ones that I couldn't send in as warranty case - these are running fine in several computers/laptops now

turn on the device, while holding down the subpower button, the one on the left of the panel. once you've done that, post what the 3 lights are doing, static/flashing - this will help diagnose the problem

yes ! look like need some boot rom so machine can recognise the new hdd
but I don't know how

you can try the GXX diag/repair firmware that may fix it.

the GXX diag tool i suggested to run first, i just jumped ahead
the GXX tool will either identify the storage as a problem or the CPU itself.
let us know.

you tried booting while holding down the hidden reset button?
if the dot appears in the corner you may get lucky and boot into trouble reset screen and be able to access service mode from that screen using the normal S00S01

yes I tried hold the reset button to make trouble reset appear but only dot appear in screen the infinite waiting.

Can you confirm it? Never manage to did it from fw mode screen or diag tool screen.

I guess you will need to replace the CPU Board.

Follow this procedure to recover the Storage board then the Boot Rom, Ive had great success with this
