We just installed few KM A3 machines(300i and C250i) 2 of them with dirty glasses on the bottom side, one dot was on slit glass and another on original glass. Installed hundreds and first time seeing this. They must have monkey for quality control or started drinking too early ๐

Re: Interesting stuff
That's kinda disappointing on new machines ... but it's better than physical damage. I've straightened a few upper frames, because the fuser door wouldn't latch. I would have liked to returned the device, but we could have waited another forever for a replacement machine. The scanner took most of the hit, but amazingly, mostly damaged only the upper frame around the fuser. The scanner survived, with a little tweaking.
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Interesting stuff
Yes and yes, I mean we're all used to get broken machines happened a lot to us but oddly it's very first time we get that minor issue.
To the point we looked at the drum, belt and fuser before actually spotted the dot under slit glass
I mean nothing dramatic happened just wanted to share with friends around.
Good luck all and remember better dot under glass than broken scannerA tree is known by its fruit, a man by his deeds. A good deed is never lost, he who sows courtesy, reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.
