Konica Minolta bizhub C458 - OEM Drum Issue

    Hello,

I'm having this issue with a new drum on a bizhub C458.
Changed the BLACK drum and it was printing perfectly for a week, then I had to take it out and when I put it back in it started to print with this lines that you can see in the picture below, it's an A3 Paper.
When I removed the new drum it turned upside down, does it has something to do with this? What could it be?
It's the drum because when I put another one the page comes clean.
    Thanks,

When drum unit was dropped something inside probably was broken or not in correct place. Try to disassemble it and find out.

He said he turned it upside down, no mention of dropping it, so maybe the charge roller is now full of waste ?

Defective drum, especially if aftermarket. Return and get another drum. Get Genuine Kon/Min this time if aftermarket was one that crapped out. Black drums aren't that expensive compared to color. So no excuse to not use genuine drum!

I have just open it and cleaned, the problem persists.
Then I changed only the cilinder from one case to the other and the problem is with the cilinder.
            Any way to solve this?

Bad cylinder earth. No not without damaging the drum. You would need to remove the rear gear piece...
              Whatever

I never understood the concept behind - "Eghh...I never touched it but now it's broken, what to do?"
Instead I would love to help when someone describes the situation as it is, nothing more nothing less.

Back on topic - possible drum ground is bend when drum fixing shaft is put from wrong side into aftermarket OPC cylinder.

This is a NEW and ORIGINAL/GENUINE one, it was working great, but my question is how can it get bad by removing and turning it upside down?

Couldn't say for sure. But for $92 it isn't worth efing around with. These drums use a charge roller that are easily contaminated.

No one here can explain how or why the drum has become bad! You have received FREE advice from several professionals and this thread should be closed! Just replace drum and move on........

If purchased directly from Konica, I would have to assume that they offer some sort of warranty program in your country like they do in the US (YPP - Yield and Performance Protection). If so, just warranty the drum and be done with it.

My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

If no warranty available, I'm agreeing with poor cylinder earth ground contact. Can you access with a spring hook through the shaft hole and adjust/toy with it & test? (You're already about to chunk it, so...) I have done so on other brands, years ago. See attached pic. There looks to be a ground tab that contacts the shaft. Worth a try.
