    Long shot...
I tried unpugging scanner and reboot no joy, didn't test print though.

Re: c250i stuck on boot screen

So I got a storage board sent to me from my supplier, the board was different in that it only had 1 slit at the connection side while the one that is in the machine has 2, anyway It went in the machine ok.

I booted to the FW Q8 and hey presto it started to download the FW (which it didn't do before) all checksums complete, but when the machine re booted it was just stuck at 25% again, tried loading the recovery tool but this time it came up with "A firmware error occured contact your service rep"

Unplugged the scanner cable from main board, no difference.

Tried trouble reset, no response, nothing.

There are different types of storage board, and depending on the type, you will need to load the appropriate FW for that board, for the C250i, for the new Phison storage board, you'll need to load the storage controller FW, FW_AA2J0Y0-F000-GXX-17.exe

Any ideas on how to fix this? I don't have any spare boards either to try out with.
Here is a bulletin regarding the different storage boards.

              Try updating the boot rom.

The machine is now working, thanks for all your help, it just needed a boot rom update with the FW, which isn't in the service manual when swapping a storage board.

Thanks for the feedback. We've found the boot rom update resolves most of the boot up issues.

Right here I would like to cry my heart out. On the point where new SSD is setted up in the machine and boot rom has to be upgraded bloody scamp come up with "firmware error occurred" (excuse my french). Even when I put back old SSD and try to flash the firmware it ends with the same error message. It does not show firmware screen at all. Initial problem is that several times per day machines restarts or just hungs - display freezes and no printing/copying is possible. CPU board tested with old one + tar - no success. Any suggestion is appreciated!

It's very long shot and old bulletin but doesn't hurt to try - machine set with debug mode (Software SW19=Hex81).

Restarting issue is usually caused by a failing CPUB.
