      there was a scanner only firmware that was published.
      that may help.
      We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
      The medication helps though...

                          wanna laugh? all i saw was "scanner" "423" "firmware NG"
                          had that so so so many times with 100 of them i serviced at a school and foundry facility.
                          i stopped randomly upgrading any firmware after that.
                          i dont know if i still have a copy on my laptop to share.
                          wish i still had access....

                          i didnt translate it until after i posted!!
