C250i resets back to some factory defaults (almost) every Friday am!

We refurb & delivered a C250i about 3 months ago. We always flash latest fw (Q9) now, not the P that had issues, do an all data clear (which unsets the storage, reset to storage type (storage), format the storage. We use a thumb drive to import the same user & admin & network settings on every c250i which saves a lot of time. Everything tested from smtp scan, print, copy, adf, import our custom boot screen, set admin pw, etc...

So cust calls on a Friday before noon. Its got a Konica logo screen, has reverted back to auto ip and has app button , some "announce" message (sorry, took a pic but cant find it now) and the marketpace button that we disable under IWS. Also reverted to 1~8, 1~8 admin pw which we only use 1~8.
As soon as I put the address back to the old static address, they could print again. Very busy so I said lets let it go for now.
Next Friday, it freaked again, locked up, wouldnt boot past about 25 or 50% (cust not sure) & back to auto ip address. I talked them throught static address setting back & ok tol next Friday. Similar stuff.
It skipped (Good Friday) prior to Easter, although customer was working in office that day.
Next Friday it freaked, they static it.
Again today (you guessed it... Friday) it said something about run full diagnostics and had an unfamiliar boot screen accirding to cust. Started working after reboot for an hour or more, now "they xant use"
Wish theyd gotten a pic of the screen & convey precise message but I was out of town. Ill ghave to deal with this in Monday am... Probably cleanse the main board with reset/tar file & reflash fw. Any better ideas? Thanks!

Wanted to add that their scan destinations were never lost and I might try repartioning the storage board, as that saved a couple of "bricked" i series that had P9 FW.

Sounds like a failing STRB or CPUB both can cause the same / similar issue.

Run diagnostics and recovery tool also update boot ROM just in case. We are now rolling FW update for 1i series function version 2.3 on all our 0i series might have some improvements. Good luck.

My newest fw is Q4 or Q9? (Im not at the shop now).
Youre saying theres newer 0i fw or your just using it independently?
Also, Ive never updated a bootrom. Another file, sep from the recovery, or is it a choice in the process?
What sequence do you recommend? Thanks.

Where is the diagnostic / recovery tool on the kon/Min delaer website? I took a quick look at the base & special F/W and didn't see it unless I missed it?

I don't need it now but would like to have it for when I start selling more i series.

              Thanks

Thanks for that. Not sure how to identify if it has the "Phison 96-layer storage board" so if it doesn't, is this boot rom still applicable?

There is procedure but you don't need it if your boot ROM is OK it will tell you don't need boot ROM update if it takes it then go ahead.
