[CQ] 4 series transfer belt clicking

Loud, but not horrific, clicking from T-belt.

Less than 20k,.first vacuumed good for a week, then replaced good for a month, now back again.

Hoping it's not more Konica toner rocks

    Anyone delt with this? Thanks

Have you looked at the transfer belt drive coupler? The C451/500 had problems with that drive coupler. If I remember correctly you can pull the left side cover and watch the drive coupler while it runs. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

224 - 554 share nothing in common engine wise to the 654 - 754, may as well be a ricoh.

gave the best look i could first time it happened, covers off etc. seemed to be within the t-belt, almost confirmed by the vacuum/replacement

Re: 4 series transfer belt clicking

sounds like the same issue that afflicted the c360 series, whereby the waste toner chute to the box blocked up and caused toner compaction in the cleaning section and then clicking of the drive gear as it failed to turn.

that issue is environmental and if its what your having, it will be the same.

I've nfi what causes it, but it only happens in certain locations. KM came out with some BS about it being carpet fibers settling on the transfer belt, but most of the places i experienced it didnt even have carpet

I know that excessive low power mode time outs aggravate the problem too.

                There's a TAD from KM, no TAGB1300560EN

It's due to the waste toner pipe

I've never had the seal detached, on the ones I've had (numerous) its been because the waste toner was all sticky and clogged half way up the waste toner pipe. If they have redesigned the pipe to be less restrictive its definitely a good thing though.
