So it's ok on prints? Then you are looking at the optical section. What have you done so far? -

What is the feed direction LTR or LTR-R (A4 or A4-R)?
I'm going to take a WAG that it fed LTR-R/A4-R and it could happen on prints, just that it's intermittent and you saw the copies first.
It looks to me like a charge contact issue. It could be the developer bias contact or the transfer charge contact. You can use conductive grease on the transfer charge contact, but cannot use conductive grease on the developer bias contact.
