[CQ] Problems with TR-8550 Transfer assy

Hey Techs, has anyone been getting problems with these new transfer belts tr-8550, so far we have had a few tear at below 70k and some with hardened toner at exit nozzle causing smudges. All problems have been on high speed units 4052ci and 5052ci

Yes and yes. The clogged pipe will also cause a transfer motor stall code and gear ratcheting. Just warranty and move on.

One of our techs worked on this issue yesterday. The call was for squeaking.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

For us, actually so far so good, had a couple of early machines code with transfer cleaning motors while they were still young, then zero since. I haven't seen a torn belt ever, except for the stupid blue-dot-MK ones for the B+W older and 7002-type which don't want to stay centered.

Re-doing the shims seems to stabilize the centering. =^..^=

              Hi guys,

i am wondering a little bit about this thread.
In europe we are facing a lot of problems with blocked waste drive and KDC said: We are the only ones. No informations from other markets about this problem available.
O our market this problem is coming up after FW Pack 2.05 (disuse of overflow detection by the piezoelectric sensor)
We found that wastebox can`t forward the waste toner if weight > 600g. Fulllimit by FW controlling 800g!
Mostly happens at high humidity enviroment and rough paper usage.
Iris high color and mono, not so often at Iris low.
Exchange from waste drive unit, waste box unit, Belt, feed drive gear and sometimes DV + DK for yellow needed.
Meanwhile waste drive unit and WTB unit would modified by KDC, but problem is still remaining.(not so often, but 2-3 times per week...)
