Taskalfa 5551ci service mode entering code changed

    Dear Colleagues,

Someones changed service mode entering code on Taskalfa 5551ci. Any Ideas how to reset it to default without entering in service mode? If you have any scripts or Vendor access code please send PM.

I'm talking about the 8 digit code for entering to maintenance menu. Service engineers code. Don't mess with admin passwords or web passwords.

Who could have changed this one of your fellow techs?

The only way to recover from this is with the factory engineering code. If you don't have that code you will need to have a Kyocera tech rep visit the machine.

I thought so. Can anyone share the code, PM?

There is no hidden code available anymore because of foren like this.
Too often the hidden code like 30363036, 79x4x31x, or others would publiced by any technicians.
Now you need special USB key for registration procedure at the system.
Only Kyo tech can do this.
If i remember correctly, at Venus/ Gaia range this code would stored on operation panel pwb, but i am not shure by 100%.
You can try with other op panel pwb...

You may want to try running Data Sanitation under System/Network - Data Security. It takes six hours or so, it usually defaults everything but counters back to factory settings. Not sure if it'll reset a service code but may be worth a shot

Have you tried to reset device to factory default from Command Center : management settings/reset ?

I don't know if this PreScribe command still works on the AlphardII series, but you might try an Engine Reset:

                          Send the following PreScribe command: !R! ACNT "REST";EXIT;
                          =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
