    Kyocera 250ci Firmware - Latest

Does anyone have SAFE links to download the latest firmware or the firmware files themselves to upgrade a customer to the latest version of the Kyocera 250ci firmware? The version of the firmware is 2H7_2F00.E15.002 which I believe is 2009. I've read several threads here where you've got the upgrade the firmware in a series of steps if it is that old. So, if there are a series of firmware versions that need to be installed in series then please send me all of them or the links to all of them.

The customer bought this 250ci workhorse with only 20k copies on it with ALL of the bells and whistles (for $400). It just needs a little bit of love. I actually wish I had found this baby sitting in a warehouse!!

    Thanks in advance.

You don`t need newer version if you won`t use KFS/ TDRS.
      I agree with copier tech:
Don`t touch a Saturn system if it`s running well!

As far as I know SSL3 is not addressed in future updates. There is a README that I can attach this evening.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            Office 365 needs TLS V1.2
On "old" Saturn Range we have support for TLS V1.0 only.
V1.2 not implemented up to yet and no more upgrade to V1.2 planned from Kyocera side.
            Too old system, sorry...
There is no official document about all fixes or else available.
(I have seen 1 file, but in japanese language only...)
I think they they won`t share

It's a 250ci, I wouldn't give $400 for 10 of them new in the box, that is just my opinion.. I am pretty sure Kyocera stopped supporting them, not 100% on that

You would be surprised how few posts include that sort of basic information.

Got it working. Long ago I had written a software routine to "wrap" TLS 1.0 inside of a TLS 1.2 packet. I just needed to get the 250ci up to TLS anything. I got a hold of the firmware yesterday to upgrade it to 2016 and everything is working fine with Office 365 now. Thank you everyone!

                            Hello,

I hope someone can advise me but i have a serious issue with my TA 300Ci.
I tried yesterday to update my (good working) TA300Ci with the latest FW V16.24.0010 (2016-08-18).
The original FW was the V13.006.2012.01.06.

I unpacked all my files from the zip to the root of my formatted usb 4GB flash drive (FAT32).
When i started the machine i got stuck in the welcome screen.
The screen won't disappear anymore even without the flash drive.

                            I've tried to;
                            1. flash only the FW of the CPU OP.
(changed the dipswitch on the OP pcb to 'boot')
I waited until the led stopped to restart the machine.
Then i changed the dipswitch again to 'normal' en tried to flash again without succes.
                            2. Unpllug the Code dimm memory and restart the machine without succes.

Are there any other things you can suggest me?

                            Any help is welcome!

                            Grts

Re: Kyocera 250ci Firmware - Latest

at Saturn range it was sometimes a little bit "tricky" to upgrade.
If system stucks in "welcome", you has to use usb key with "read/ write" led/ <4GB./ FW included "ES_SKIP.ON"
At first you has to check if led is flashing.
If yet, you has to wait up to 25-30 minutes for changing from black FW upgrade screen.(Panel upgrade starts...)
If not, boot rom on flash dimm would destroyed and now it will be difficult to explain further procedure
(I swapped the flash dimm (upper slot) during upgrade procedure in past...)
You has to use well working flash dimm from other 250ci/ 300ci to get boot routine.
System will show black "FW Upgrade" screen after startup for approx 20 secondes before screen will change to "writing main FW"
This will be your time frame to swap the well working flash dimm against the broken one.
If you are too slow, you will destroy the well working one also...
If you are fast enough, FW upgrade will repair the broken one and system will work again!
