Setup Tool Doesn't convert all addresses

I had this happen today. The setup tool didn't convert all the addresses. It did convert about 33 of the 39 addresses. I tried it a couple of times, updated to the newest tool. Nothing worked. My Kyocera SSE said he's had it happen also. Anyone figure out a fix? I know KMNet Viewer would work also, but for the couple of addresses I needed, I just manually entered them. Just curious.
    Hope that helps !

From a 5500i to a 6002i. Not that big of a deal, but I hate having to go back to a customers. I guess I'll have to make sure going forward that the same number of contacts transferred.
      Hope that helps !

Re: Setup Tool Doesn't convert all addresses

Maybe even the latest Setup Tool cannot handle the jump from the 0 series to the 2 series. It's a great tool but I have also experienced sometimes glitches when using it.

I know it is probably a hassle to pull out a a switch, at least three cables, and a laptop to use KM NetViewer. However, to me, making the transfer once and done is usually the priority at an upgrade installation.

When possible I try to go by the customer we're gonna upgrade and use the NetViewer to download and save the setting and upload them into the new machine at the office. While I'm a the customers office getting the settings, I take a look at the Address book and see how many entries they have. I check the count against the list that is imputed into the new machine. To this date I have not had a problem doing this.

What ever method is used, it is still far better than getting a printout and having to input the info by hand.

One of our installer IT guys was talking about this yesterday. In his case it held the email addresses but lost the names, converted them match the storage location, i.e. location #1 became name: 1

Since it was only a few he hand entered the data.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The ongoing thing with the setup tool is that every time another model comes out, you need to upgrade the tool software. =^..^=
