    Kyocera C8525mfp

    Kyocera C8525mfp showing "Maintenance Kit "A" in the display.


    Am I correct that the kit is containing the transfer belt, K drum, K developing unit, some minor stuff and the fuser unit as well?

    Prints are rotten, but the fuser however looks for the moment still good enough for this cheapo customer. Can above parts, without the fuser unit, be separately purchased as well?

      Fusers on these are pretty robust.
      If you wanted to change one thing, do the drum. Rarely do they last 200k
      Next would be the transfer belt
      See how you go from there.

          Buying the parts separately is almost twice the cost of the kit. Many dealers buy mostly kits then use what they need out of them.

          Your MK-896A kit will include:
          DK-896: K Drum
          DV-896K: K Developer
          TR-896A: Primary Transfer
          TR-896B: Secondary Transfer
          One Feed Unit Assy
          Bypass Rollers

          At the 200K mark the machine will need at least the DK-896, DV-896K, The feed assembly, and maybe the TR-896A.

              Thanks guys. The TR-896A appears to be a must. Lines, spots etc and the surface is dull and full of crud. Also the K-drum and dev unit seems totally at its end. The machine has 290K on the clock, 202K for mono and 88K for color. They ignored the maintenance message since one year in the hope they could continue this way. Told you, customer is a cheapo....

              I informed them that when I install the Kit-A, I cannot guarantee the outcome for the color units since this can be judged only if at least the primary transfer has been replaced. Tiny magenta dots in a regular repeating pattern are visible already now so it seems at least the M drum is shot too.

                  Throw in an extra MC-8325 primary charge unit (302NP93020). It sounds like a typical magenta charge roller failure.
                  Is the interval 37.5mm?

                  If the transfer cleaning unit is full, also check the spout. I may be clogged & augers broken. =^..^=

                      Cat, the interval is exactly 95 mm in the sub-scan direction. There are other black lines, also sub-scan direction, at the edge 51 mm distance from each other.

                      When I removed the TB a lot of toner fell suddenly out of it covering my feet. Is that the clogged spout issue?

                              Most of the Kyocera machines use a charge roller to clean the primary belt. That's why a lot of times you'll get toner falling out of the belt unit.
                              There's not a sealed cleaning unit/blade system like some use. I guess there's less wear on the belt, but it creates a mess when you pull it out.
