    ecosys m6535 Barcodes printing weird

Came across one today printing barcodes incorrectly. Only happens on two m6535s at the office. The other brand of copiers are Canons and they print the barcodes just fine. Black drum has been recently replaced. Primary transfer belt looks good. Any ideas? The top barcode is from the kyocera and the bottom is correct from a canon copier.

    Update firmware.
Check KX drivers is in use.
check application used to print barcode
The more info you can provide on these posts the easier it is to eliminate the basic stuff.

This definitely looks like a software/driver issue. Not necessarily that either one is bad, but sometimes software and print drivers just don't get along. You can change the print language if it's the KX driver, I've had that help as well. These types of issues suck when another manufacturer prints it just fine and yours doesn't. Makes it seem like it's your machine that sucks when it's just an unfortunate problem that the customer's IT created. Bad thing with Kyocera machines is it's difficult to print with another driver because they hate it. I've been able to resolve print issues with an Epson by printing with a Sharp driver, and the reverse. But with Kyocera you're almost screwed with drivers.

Make sure GDI Compatible mode is checked in the Driver Settings. Printer Properties - Device Settings tab -> PDL... button -> Check the GDI Compatibility check box

I believe if that barcode font is not resident on the MFP, it needs to be sent over in the print job. It's possible that the Canon has it and the Kyocera does not.
          Hope that helps !
