Tasklafa 5501i scaner

i want this machine to scan . i have done it several times but now i fail with same set up as previous machines . I have connected a laptop to copier can anybody tell how to set up command center?

You need to add Pinpoint Scan software. It's a licenced software.

Email, SMB,FTP???
Pinpoint scan not necessary though some swear by it
Kyocera have a SMB tool on their downloads, easy to use
I use FTP with FileZilla, more difficult but less likely to get broken.
It will authenticate TLS1.1 so email/office 365 or Gmail is possible.

Yep, pre v5 firmware SMB2 is broken.

Not a bad video for a user, but it presumes that DNS has been set-up correctly.

It also demonstrates poor administration in that Servers are for sharing, not workstations. Too many passwords and too little security.

Update the firmware then try a scan again.

do a google search for kyocera print center. it will download from the microsoft store. simple straight forward setup, if you are familiar with setting up scanning. i believe it's a dressed up twain scan driver.
