    5002 that is extra ornery

Our customer called in late last week that their copier would not copy due to a add paper message with paper in the machine. We thought it was a driver issue, but since it was slated to be upgraded we took a new machine. Promptly unplugged it slid it out and slid the new one in. All with the intention of pulling a status page back at the shop.
Here's where the fun began. I plugged it in and it went straight to error add paper in tray 1. oops try 1 no lifty. tray 2 was completely missing the rear guide, so that wont work. I add the correct paper in the MP tray and again with the same message add paper in tray 1, so i change the default to the MP tray same message. I find a tray 2 that is complete and woopsie no lifty. I try to cancel the print job oops, thats a fax and cant be canceled
Begrundingly i check the last update on KFS looks like both trays 1&2 had an error, I cant log into service because of the fax jobs. I cant log into KFS because it was moved and now has a new ip. I did turn off KFS, Delete it from KFS and turned it back on and tried to reregister, but to no availe.

So my question is, Is there a way to delete the fax jobs, that I havent tried, or to get into service mode for a 906 reset?

Did you remove the fax board? I believe that will take care of fax jobs pending, while you fix the tray issue.

I’ve found over the years that faxes will not print to a tray that is manually set. You’ll need the tray to be on Auto. Let the faxes print then do your thing, but you must keep the tray set to auto.

Pull the fax board, fix the machine, reinstall the fax baord. It should print then.
        Hope that helps !

Ditto on the tray being on Auto. Does anyone have a explanation for that? We run into it once or twice a month.
Kyocera customers seem to have this fetish with screwing around with tray settings and locking them to a size vs leaving them on auto.

Only in case of "auto" system can enlarge or reduce the size in the right way, in case of fixed size it's not possible.

The famous "size: auto (inch). type: plain" thing yes been there done that many times, stops the machine pretty much every time.
                Regards.
