The solution has already been posted, update the firmware to latest and do the following:

Function Settings > Prevent Miss-Sending Settings > Turn off the following: Destination Check Before Send & Entry Check for New Dest.

Doesn't get much easier...

I think we talking about two different things.

The "destination check before Send & Entry Check for New Dest" is a popup that requires a user to click on the check button to confirm that the destination/information is correct. It's on at default but you were always able to turn it off in the main menu.

In firmware V3.00, Kyocera introduced a message that pops up when a user selects a One Touch Key. The message goes away after +- 2 seconds. There's currently no way to turn that off and the only work around is using firmware V2.4

The "destination check before Send & Entry Check for New Dest" is a message that requires a user to click on the check button to confirm that the destination/information is correct. It's on at default but you were always able to turn it off in the main menu.

Pop-Up (Does NOT require input-Temporary/Notify)
In firmware V3.00, Kyocera introduced a pop-up (that appears) when a user selects a One Touch Key. The message goes away after +- 2 seconds. There's currently no way to turn that off and the only work around is using firmware V2.4

Excellent accurate summary the others were missing, but mixing up the nomenclature can lead to confusion as to which step one is referring to, so I've edited your quote above for clarity.

Once again this modification came about to prevent sending scans to unintended recipients, particularly with Groups and One-touches where all recipient addresses may not appear on the screen. This was to accomodate compliance with HIPPA procedures in not distributing confidential information to unauthorized parties.

It is one of those things to prevent a user who didn't check their crap and screwed up from blaming it on (and trying to sue) the manufacturer.

I can attest that setting up that user in a scan program, then adding that program button to the home screen will not yield the pop up verification window showing the destination address.

Yes, my workaround eliminates that pop up with the top two radio buttons off.
The pop up does occur when selecting from the address book, even with the latest firmware.

No way to disable this yet. Hopefully Kyocera will come out with a f/w to toggle this.
