Red Dots when I color print with my Kyocera 3051ci
Red Dots when I color print with my Kyocera 3051ci
Hi there, every time I try to color print I get this red dots always in the same spots. What could be the problem? doc01761420221007154325_page-0001.jpg

Measure the distance between dots and look up repetitive defects in the appendix of the service manual. Looks like something on the charge roller. Swap the drum or charge roller out with a different color and the defect should follow and change to that color.

Measure the distance between the dots, there is a repetitive defect gauge in the appendix of the service manual that will tell you exactly which part, probably drum, is defective by the distance between defects.
Re: Red Dots when I color print with my Kyocera 3051ci
Here's a thing I do when confronted with this problem and I don't have a charger roller on hand.
I take the charger for yellow and swap it with the color that is having the problem. In your case, magenta.
I have found that yellow dots are less noticeable to the user. Unlike dots made from the black, magenta, or cyan charger rollers.
And while you have that gray cover off to get to the charger rollers, why don't you go ahead and clean ALL the charger rollers with a rag and only water.
Cleaning the charger rollers is very much akin to replacing the charger wire back in the days when we would have to shoo the dinosaurs away from the machine before working on them. Very small effort to insure good image quality.

It's what I do...just sayin'
LOL!! =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

im just asking for a friend...... what's the best way to shoo a dinosaur? lol
i remember years ago. i saw the first clam shell. i was asked to stop in to look at one while i was in the area. i had no idea what the wire was. i thought it was a hair hung up inside the machine. man that thing was strong. lol
had no idea it was an actual wire that has to be restrung from time to time. i think that one came out right after the time of the dinosaurs. lol
