    TASKalfa 4052ci- fusing unit

Checking if parts are available for the fuser units.

Looking at the parts book I have it just shows the whole fuser unit.

    thanks

That's it, the assembly, and it's been updated a dozen times. Will they get all the bugs out of it? I suspect yes, eventually. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      And don't forget the "rust".

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.

Do those machines have problems scanning? Working than not working?

I told our account there's not much we could check for that and they should call their IT people.

Yup, start seeing that and get ready to replace the fuser. It WILL start throwing 6600 codes soon.

Once the rust runs out, c6600 'low rust level' is achieved.

I tore a rusty one down, it was the bearings spinning on the shaft of the press roller, grinding it down and creating the rust, mixed with the dried grease from inside the sealed bearing units.

Too bad they are press-fit and with only a clip to keep them located longitudinally. I'm sure the temperature swings work against keeping the inner-race seated on the plain shaft allowing them to spin, but then again the bearings are overheated and dried out anyhow. lots of design issues regarding that...
