    Kyocera ECOSYS M5526cdn

Hi folks, i service a Olivetti d-Color MF 2624 which is the same as a Kyocera ECOSYS M5526cdn.

On all Machines of that Type, we found the issues that there are very light blue stains on the paper when scanning. Different Firmware did not solve the issue, also making the room completely dark to make sure that there is no sun light interfering did not help.
Olivetti Support shuts up about this issue for the past 6 Months so i seek help on this forum now...
You can almost vanish those stains by setting the scan lighting all the way down to "dark" (-3).
Happens on new Machines. Not sure about old
ones. Past 2 years are affected though

If anyone has any idea how to solve this please do let me know this is driving me insane.

I would try running MM411 and scanning the chart in to recalibrate the scanner.
    Hope that helps !

      +1 on this. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hopefully you have access to the service manual to explain MM411. It has the chart part number and various modes. (Like how Target is set to Auto to read the comparison LAB values from the chart's 2D barcode and not Manual which reads the MM425 stored values. (and if it cannot read the 2D barcode you have to use manual and enter all 25-30 NEW LAB values from the chart into MM425)

One of the most confusing Maint. Modes

You will notice the adj for DP(FU/FD) is different from the Platen (off the glass). You didn't mention if there was a difference there on your quality.

        Samples brah...samples.

I'll have to check with what you lot are talking about here tomorrow or next week.

I would have added samples if i would be able to get it on a Scan. The Problem is the Scanners we got all seem to "fix" the issue so all i get out is a white pdf.
I'll try to make a good photo of it but no promises here because they are just so light

I would be curious to know if this problem happens when scanning the original off the glass platen and when running the original through the ADF. Also, does it happen when you scan using color, auto color, or black and white?

This may or may not be relevant, but I had a tech that was struggling with streaking when scanning. He was ready to order a bunch of boards and stuff. I went out there and gave the underside of the platen glass, slit glass, all the mirrors, and white reference a good cleaning. When I arrived it didn't look bad, but I deep cleaned the optics anyway. The problem disappeared.

            Just sayin'.....

Another simple thing to check is the white reference (roller or plate ... whatever). On an Iris2 document feeder it was so dirty that the image went completely white. Images off of the glass were OK. As it turns out, one of their printers had a bad fuser, so a lot of unfused toner got applied to the white reference roller. It was SO BLACK, that I was confused at first. Did they maybe redesign the white reference like the Canon scanners that use a black reference roller?

Nope, just toner. Cleaning fixed it right up. =^..^=
