Hello, This copier is kicking my tail....The copies and prints are getting darker as they come out. I have put a new drum and developer in it. Reset to factory settings. Not sure where to go from here Thought about re-installing firmware but kinda thinking a HVPS issue. Any thoughts will be very helpful.. THANKS Pis Attached

Those dark spots are repetitive. What's the distance between?Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Taskalpha 4501 copies getting darker while printing
Have you cleaned the developer unit air ducts and filters on the rear machine frame? When there is no airflow, you'll get clouds of loose toner not recovered by the developer unit. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I would think it's DV unit related. You can see the toner around the image areas which is usually a bias issue. Either counts didn't get cleared so the voltage is off, or something along those lines.Comment

I actually be that. It is in a horribly dirty environment (Right next to a Super Fund Site where toxic materials are permanently stored)Comment

Re: Taskalpha 4501 copies getting darker while printing
Those repetitive marks really look like charge roller marks to me, which DO tend to get worse with heat/job length. When you replaced the drum, did it have a new charge roller in it, or did you bring the existing charge roller over?
A charge roller with "bumps" cannot be re-used. The underlying steel shaft is rusted.Comment

Re: Taskalpha 4501 copies getting darker while printing
Strangely enough none of these suggestions worked. Going to bring the copier back to my shop and I will post the solution. (Kinda hoping a loaner copier will have the same issue pointing to an outside power issue lol)Comment

Have you tested the AC voltage at the wall? Seems easier to test that then to swap out the entire copier.Comment

Re: Taskalpha 4501 copies getting darker while printing
Humbly saying lol... Turned out to be the developer housing. I get parts harvested from low meter machines and I put 2 bad ones in the machine to troubleshoot. I am thinkin the developer ages out. Oh well it's the risk I take. I usually don't fall flat on my face though. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!!! It is appreciated more than you know !!!Comment
