    Kyrocera M3550IDN

Machine does not lift tray. Errors out 1010 code. The motor does not even turn on. Is it the drive motor 302LV94251? or a board? The gear on the tray is fine

Replace the cassette with the spring loaded tray from the lower speed version of that series.
    Hope that helps !

... I will try that. When I remove the tray and actuate it the motor does not try to lift at all.

The problem is most likely the bottom frame that holds the tray lift motor. The rib, that holds the gear which the motor dirves, cracks and therefore does not lift. There is a bulletin on this, with a modified replacement part. I have done a few of these and it is not difficult to do. Just pay attention to the fuser drive gear and the spring that it works with, the orientation of it.

Do you happen to have that part number and bulletin?

I will confirm that this is the fix, and that it's no small task to replace the right cassette rail. It's the post that supports the gear that fails most often, and it's molded into the right cassette rail. Either bring the machine into the office, or move the machine to a spacious room so you can remove a lot of parts. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                  1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                  2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                  3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                  4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                  5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Also sometimes need to block the sensor above the feed roller assy to make sure the code C1010 stays away.
