    Kyocera Wallpaper

    Hello

I have a Silly question : How can we change the wallpaper on a 2554ci ? (Not the basic pictures but a wallpaper made by me...).

I find in the documentation that the picture make less than 4Mo and 800px x 480px (using the maintenance, 224), but on my 2554ci, the key are grey and i cant open them...

    Have you an idea ?

It's a very simple process, it must be in the .PNG format, less than 4mb in size, 800x480, and it needs to be saved as menu_background.png in the root of a thumb drive. Once all of that is done, the Home Menu Img button should be available in U224.

Copy the files to an USB-stick and load the files to the machine using U224. The files are :

      callwin_ext_image.png 180x200pix max 1Mb
      callwin_ext_mes_detail.txt
      callwin_ext_mes_top.txt
      opening_ext_image.png 800x400pix max 1Mb

Use an application like Irfanview to format your image to 800x400 pixels, .png file format, and named exactly as specified. Use simulation U224 to import the image.

It works. You're not doing something right. Follow the instructions exactly as I posted them.

just keep in mind, once you change it, you can't revert back. i learned that one the hard way. and as mentioned, you have to do it exactly. if not it won't work.

I'm not really sure what this means ? You can remove or reinstall new splash screens in 224 at any time.
              Hope that helps !

I'm starting to understand why it's not working for you.

yes you can change it to any new file that you wish. but you can not revert it back to the original factory wallpaper. once you change it the original default is gone.

Next time you have a chance, select uninstall and highlight the ones you want to revert back to default.
