    Task 3500i

Customer put crap toner in and now has background. I looked for developer but looks like only the complete dev unit is sold, not just the developer powder? I saw some dev powder but was from China.

Is buying complete dev unit only option? Would it help to to vac out toner hopper, run sky shots, then add OEM toner?

I usually work on Kon/Min but hope to keep this customer going until they upgrade end of the year.

    Thanks in advance

A complete dev unit and OEM owner is the only way on these.

You can try it with OEM toner vac all out and run setup mode for Dev unit

You're in for the same variety of trouble with the generic developer.

That's what I would try first. It's the lowest cost option. Second choice: the whole developing unit.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
