Will KM3050 drum work in KM4050?

I know, super old but I still have a customer with a 4050.
I have a brand new DK715 that says it is for 3050.
Does anyone know if this will work or what the difference may be?
    Thanks

I do not think that it will work because beginning of serial number from DK715 is diff to SN from DK716
First 3 digits are showing type of spare part and internal firmware will not accept other digits/ other spare aprts.
There would no official FW published by KDC to accept other 3 digits also...
    Finally: you`ll get C7900

I have a vague recollection of trying, and failing. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I seem to recall obvious physical differences between the drums. And the EEPROM chip would not let it work even if you could get it installed. =^..^=

Just replace the eprom chip on drum and will work fine. Did it all the time.

                  @kleankopy
How does each system generate a consistent quality?
By adjusting the required voltages to the performance of the individual components, like a drum and MC
The counter reading and the drum runtime are stored on the eeprom/ chip
Old eeprom in new drum with new unused surface/ new MC logically results in incorrect voltages and thus quality problems.
You can change the eeprom, but you will have problems afterwards, because U109 + U110 you can`t change.
Maybe no problems immediately, but certainly later.
Feel free to do it, but don`t wondering about new problems.

First find if opc drum and blade are the same (You can see if compatible opc drums and blades are the same for these models) . If yes replace in old drum unit opc drum and blade with thise from the new drum unit.
