Anyone noticed this? Takes a few minutes for the printer to show in the devices window and then another minute or so while it says Device Setup in progress. Seems to have just started a week or two ago.

Yes, it has popped up several times recently. I'm guessing (but not sure) the the last big Windows update broke something and it will likely be fixed in the next one. -

I have noticed this as well. Once you know the printer is installed, go into notepad and print. You'll see the printer there and can right click on it to get into printer properties/preferences to setup defaults. At least this bypasses the wait for the icon to show up in devices and printers.Comment

Yeahhhhh typical Windows Updates messing things up. I've found that if you just quickly go in to services and restart the Print Spooler, it fixed it real quick........most of the time.Comment

Re: Taking longer than normal to install Windows drivers
Lately, no matter what manufacturer driver I'm about to install, I always go to Services and restart The Print Spooler before installing the driver. I seem to have less problems that way. Just saying....Comment
