If the previous engineer changed the code you'll have to replace the NVram to reset the entry code back to default.

You could try U21 or U2. Oh wait you can't get into service mode agreed with Copier Tech.

Replace it. But could be worth contacting Kyocera to see if the can supply the NVram reset tool / firmware.

            only 1 short question.
which screen do you see if you try to enter 1087 mode?
Have seen that it won`t work if you are e.g. on copy screen.
Select home screen, open the extension screen, select numeric keypad and enter 10871087.
NVram you can`t change, it`s fixed on main pwb.
You has to ask KDC tech for special USB file to get 1 time entrance by 10871087.
Status page needed for this request

            By the way:
on older systems like Mercury1, the new maintenance mode entrance code would stored on operation panel pwb instead of main pwb.

I can't see how this would help.

you can contact a kyocera dealer/tech.... there is another code that you can use to access service mode. this code works if someone hasn't changed the codes. i do not share codes.

No, you need to replace the NVram chip with a new one.
