    km 3050

Hi all I am having a problem with an error code c5300-cleaning lamp error. So far I have checked and changed the engine pcb and main controller pcb.I have also changed the drum unit and did a continuity check on the block connecter and the lamps. Also I have removed the main charge and transfer charger corona units and updated the firmware.Has anybody had or heard of this problem.
    Thanks

Well, it looks as though you've covered all the logical choices, and all the more remote possibilities.

The only additional thing I can think of to do is to pin-out the harness from the drum unit connector to the engine PWB.

As I was reading through your post, mentally I had jumped ahead to "I wonder if he has a shorting primary...", but I can see that you've got that covered.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

had same problem and went thru all the boards, power supply, drum, cleaning lamp etc, came down to the left side door safety switch wasn't making constant contact. Leveled machine and sorter on a 3/4 piece of plywood and haven't had any more problems. the sorter wasn't putting pressure on the switch and actually the side door wasn't seating all the time.

Which switch did you replace? The interlock switch or the little white switch?

It was the inter-lock switch that was causing me the problem

This may sound really wierd but check the magnet on the inside of the front cover to see if it has popped out. I reseated the magnet into the door on a 3050 that was stuck to the metal and it got rid of the error code. Hope this helps

It may sound silly but you know that there is a difference in drums between 3050 and 40-5050 right? Just a thought. Hope your machine is leveled and it is functioning by now .

DRUM for KM3050 in case is replaced from a different PM kit like for 4050 or 5050 as they not the same

                            or

Front Door Interlocking Switch (probably loose magnet) I use 2 cable ties to secure the magnet in place see attached pics.

                            Magnet Mod 2-2.jpgMagnet Mod 1-2.jpg

or actually faulty Interlocking switch on front door or side door.

I coded a machine out with this 3 times yesterday trying to trick the front door to watch how paper was feeding in cassette one. The front door has 2 switches it must hit. There is a white button switch that senses if the door is closed or not and just a little to the left is a metal push down switch that senses.....well I'm not exactly sure what it senses but if you don't press this one when the other is pressed it seems it will throw this code on you.
