    fs-2000d jams no paper feed

This machine is driving me nuts. It doesn't jam all the time. maybe three-four times a day. When it jams no paper is fed and no paper anywhere. Here is what happens: When it comes time to feed the paper, the solenoid fires in the paper feed but the motor does not come on. The jam is now indicated. I can hear the solenoid click in and activate. I replaced the whole assembly that drives the feed rollers and has the new clutch and solenoid plus the gears. Also has new feed rollers. I have some theory's but I want to hear yours. By the way in case you get any ideas about being smart, I replaced the assy due to the problem, trying to cure it.

sounds like something i have with a FS-1300D... its just the kyocera build. but anyhow back to your problem, do you think it could possibly be a board issue? not sending out the signal when it should be? just a long shot.

strange as it may sound but the fuser door switch causes this exact problem, it does not say close rear cover but if switch is not activated fully the machine will throw a jam straight up without turning pick up rollers on. on fuser unit there is a metal tab to press the door switch, bend this plate slightly so it makes contact with the switch sooner. should solve your problems on any fs2000/fs4000

It can also be the top door switch - bend the arm a little upwards with to small screwdrivers
