    Copy star vs kyocera 5050

    We recieved a copy star 5050 (A dealer split) and we are Kyocera dealer. Are the flashes and toner the same. What other problema will we run into.

    No and Maybe...

    The toner is definitely not the same. They changed the drive coupler so it won't add. The chip is the same.

    I don't know if the flash is the same or not. Logically there shouldn't be any difference, but when did logic ever apply to copiers.......
    If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

      according to kma, it's the same flashes for both..speaking of which-- a new firmware version was released on 10-8-07..good luck..
