KM 7530 Slow to warm up

I have a KM 7530 with a start up issue, the machine takes over 10 mins to display ready to copy. The obvious has been checked, fuser lamps, thermistor etc, but machine does not code. Leaving the cover off the fuser verifies it is not that as both lamps light then go out after a couple of mins. The copier sits there doing nothing, not even turning the drive motors. The motors do eventually run after about 8 to 9 mins. The sims have been checked and the copy count is doing 74 pages a4 from the jumbo bin in a minute. What I have also noticed is that when you do a single copy after the ready stage, the motor runs for about 20 sec after then goes back to ready. Any ideas anyone?

Have you checked your drum electrodes and electrode wires?

Sounds a little like a low toner condition, except that developer would be agitating, and toner motor running.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I agree with Blackcat. Maybe a low toner or developer problem. Cycling to long. Good luck.

As I said nothing is turning so it is nothing to do with Dev or low toner as the machine sits and shows please wait. I checked all earths etc to no avail. The fuser temperature is correct after approx 3 min from cold. As the fuser fails to turn until after 8 mins I am concerned the press roller will become flat over time. The copy speed is correct when the machine is running which rules out the clock on the engine pcb.

It has something to do with the drum heater

I had a similar problem on an analogue Canon many years ago. It turned out to be problem with the corona wire cleaner, the machine waited for the wire cleaner to reach the home position.

KM-7530,normally takes six to seven minutes to warmup at start.sometimes it delays because of dirty main charge corona or the grid. Also check toner feeding mechanisam,if the gear are wore out,it will take the time to get ready. You had not mention the meter counter.
