Re: New Model IM
This could just be a one-off but one of my engineers attended a call (miles away) for an IMC 3500A that is squeeking. He said it was only when duplexing must most of their prints are defaulted to duplex. He greased a load of stuff and it went away but an hour later they phoned back with same problem, so i'll have to go there early next week to look at it. Anyone else had this yet?Comment

It's a good application for the Customer Engineer Tool.Comment

Re: New Model IM
We're an authorized Ricoh dealer and we don't have access to the @Remote servers.
We've asked and Ricoh stonewalls us.
We have a program that monitors meters and toner levels...but not hardware.
Remote Service and Panel Connect won't work for us because...we're not Ricoh.
We'd have to phone each customer and tell them how to access SP modes and print out a pm counter and scan it to us....not gonna happen lol.Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

I did find it however, so attaching a pic of the bits that caused it just in case anyone gets this. To be honest if I hear of another machine doing it in the next few months I'll probably do this to all of them before I install them.
Squeeky IMC machine.jpg
Open duplex door, remove the transparent door inside it, at the bottom is this section with a black cover over them, pop that off via 2 clips revealing what you see in this picture. Whole metal bracket comes off with 2 screws, put a bit of grease inside the black clips that the metal shafts spins inside. No more squeek.
Similar to MPC 305 type additional trays when the white rollers scream on the side doors, bit of grease stops that too.Comment
