Ricoh Aficio 1232c - Fuser Unit is making squeaking noise

Fuser unit is making squeaking noise?

Got a message "fusing unit is almost empty of oil".
Checked oil at the rear unit, it is full. Did a SP7 914(oil counter reset) and SP 1930 to add oil to sump.

The message has disappeared, however still am getting the squeaking noise from the fuser unit.

    is this normal? Any ideas?

Replace the oil supply unit B051 4300 as you'll find that the felt wick assembly and also cleaning and sponge roller all need replaced and it will be an easier option to replace the full unit. Also when doing this I have found that it also makes sense to replace the pressure roller as this too can cause the machine to squeal. AE02 0132 Pressure Roller.

      1224C & 3232C fuser noises....

The only way ive stopped these type of machines making a noise from the fuser is to stretch the web tension spring so it does not bind so much on the fuser belt. Had 2 doing it bad & now they are fine. Ricoh say its the paper?

        Ricoh Aficio 1232c - duplex

Single copy works fine. When I duplex I get print outs once or twice randomly, then the paper jams at B & Z for over 1 copy, then when I do a double side I get a Paper Jam again at B&Z.

Duplex paper jams happens near the paper registration sensor and near the fuser unit!

Tested the duplex unit on another ricoh aficio 1232c, the unit works fine, no paper jam when duplexing!

Replaced IO/Board, and all the 5 reg clutches. Adjusted paper augmented buckle, to no avail!

Any ideas what to look for:

ah this is the same machine from the other topic - in this case I would check if it would make sense to replace the fuser PM parts

            PJ's when using duplex 1224

If you have replaced all 5 clutches in a set?!!! I would go for changing some of the sensors as i have had some of them wear a fair bit on the sensor arms. Ricoh have a Mod bulletin about jams for no apparent reason, they recommend taking the metal roller bracket off ( the one below the transfer roller on the drop down door ). Then shorting the resistor on that bracket with a paper clip or other such item. Then replacing it back? I have tried it & had no more come back from the machines?? GOOD NEWS AAA

Do you have the part numbers of these sensors?

                  Ricoh 1224c fix

If you are sure you want to fix it, we have a few of these machines & unless they have most of the MODs they are a pain. But if you post you email address i will forward the info.
