We are a Sharp Tech service firm, we were Ricoh dealer but for commercial reason we moved to Sharp.
We do not have access to Ricoh Technical Websites anymore but for one of the last Ricoh MP5002 machine in field we need to update FW.

Can you help me to get a FW download anywhere?
Thank you in advance for your help.

        That is so Ricoh!
        That's why we moved away.

          No need to argue but:

I really know that about piracy but, if I own a copier that was perfectly working, and Microsoft update their security policy and software with SMB2/3 I think that I should be able to update my machine too with firmware by myself (or by a specialized IT tech). As well as I do with printer drivers when updated. (just imagine if drivers were hidden underneath a technical websites). Just add a bunch of "politically correct" advices for "risk" in updating,

Every brand FW, Bios, Drivers, are mostly free to download.

As certified copier tech and seller, I have access to Hp, Sharp, Toshiba, Lexmark and so many other copier brands FW into their technical websites.
But not for Ricoh, because they locked my access as I decided to not sell ricoh anymore. I have a little Ricoh machine in field, so I just asked to you, as techinical mutual friend a little help.

I will swap last MP5002 in field with a brand new "carbon copy paper" with optional digital camera to make copies, and scanning. I will avoid faxes, is no longer needed.

          With friendship.

And none of your techs ever got contact information from techs from other dealers when at instructor led training. If they have why not contact one of them to get help. If is called networking.

No more fax in Italy? Fax is still big in the US, everyone in the medical field still using fax as it's more secure than email.

I firstly asked to the forum because I did it in the late evening of a non working day for me.
I thought the forum was networking. My mistake.

                Thank you.

Sorry for the very politically uncorrect post, it was so easy, but unfair, to reply.
I hope all US, and the whole world will get through this very soon.

Fax in Belgium in industry is stone age.
No body faxes anymore but the legal departement.

"Secure email" is not always secure. It may be an almost secure connection going from the source computer or scanner to the SMTP server, from the SMTP server to the destination delivery server and from the delivery server to the destination address, though a skilled hacker can intercept most by utilizing an exploit that Microsoft has yet to patch let alone admit to. The email may be encrypted while on the servers but it still can be accessed by a hacker. Once a hacker has a copy breaking encryption is no big problem for them. One other fact that at least in the US all business emails by law must be backed up on any server they pass through.

That is why in order to meet HIPPA, Health Information Portability and Privacy Act, the Medical profession uses FAX to send patient records from one professional to another. Prescriptions can be emailed from doctors to pharmacies but recorders cannot be emailed.
