AGH, hate to admit this but I'm an idiot. After reinstalling software and it didn't work, went in to SP Mode to switch to internal controller and the bit switch had reset to 0 instead of 1 for Fiery contoller.Comment

I don't know if you were able to fix it but I just found out the bit switch for the controller on the one I was working on reset to 0 instead of 1 for the Fiery.Comment

How did it get turned off, I've never seen one change by itself.
and the other guy with the MPC300, he doesn't have a Fiery, he had no business posting here.Comment

That's a good question, that's one of the reasons why I never looked at it and figured it was a network connect issue. All I was told is they lost the abilty to use the printer. If some one actually got in to the service mode and made a change I don't think they would claim it since it was down for a week.Comment

I never thought to check it, won't make that mistake again, and the other couple of techs I spoke to never thought of it either. In fact they made the same comment when I spoke to them after I found it, "Never seen it revert to default". There were just a lot of odd things that didn't make sense, could ping back and forth, view through Web Image Monitor and then no communication. Plugged ethernet in to internal port and couldn't see it all on the network. Even after turning it on had to set a static ip address to get it to function, auto obtain would give a 169 address.Comment
